Teaching Personnel is currently seeking enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools throughout South Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, teaching assistants, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable school-based experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.

The Role

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-planned lesson materials and instructions.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students in completing assigned work.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or support capacity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence leading groups of students and managing classroom behaviour.
• Adaptability and a positive attitude.
• Degree-level education is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
