Cover Supervisor – Flexible & Part-Time Opportunities

Are you confident, adaptable, and keen to support young people in a secondary school setting? We are working with a well-regarded 11–16 secondary school in Redcar that is seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to provide classroom support on a part-time and flexible basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience within a positive, forward‑thinking environment that places a strong emphasis on student wellbeing, high expectations, and professional development.
The Role: Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in maintaining learning continuity in the absence of teaching staff. You’ll work across a broad curriculum that includes core academic subjects alongside a vibrant creative and practical offer.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising classes using pre-prepared lesson materials
- Creating a focused and respectful classroom atmosphere
- Encouraging student engagement and positive behaviour
- Supporting learners of varying abilities
- Upholding the school’s values around inclusion, ambition, and safety
This role is particularly well suited to graduates considering a teaching career, experienced Cover Supervisors, or those looking to build experience within education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
