Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team at a secondary school in Portsmouth. This flexible role, facilitated through Teaching Personnel, offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and looking to make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
  • Ensure a positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and provide support to students.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and support the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
