Cover Supervisor – Future Teacher Opportunity
Location: Macclesfield, Congleton, Shropshire, Telford, Bridgnorth
Thinking about becoming a teacher but want to gain classroom experience first?
This is a great opportunity for graduates or aspiring teachers to step into secondary schools as Cover Supervisors and build confidence before moving into teaching.
We’re working with a number of secondary schools across these areas who are looking for reliable and confident individuals to support on a temporary basis, with potential for longer-term or permanent roles.
In this role, you’ll be leading classes across different subjects, delivering pre-set work, and managing classroom behaviour. It’s a hands-on way to understand how schools operate while developing key teaching skills.
Schools are supportive of those looking to progress into teaching and offer guidance around behaviour management, along with opportunities to gain experience within specific subject areas.
What the role involves:
• Supervising classes across a range of subjects
• Delivering pre-planned lessons
• Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task
• Gaining experience across different school settings
We’re looking for:
• Graduates or individuals considering a career in teaching
• Confident communicators who can lead a classroom
• Some experience working with young people (school-based preferred)
• A positive and proactive approach
Role details:
• Working hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm
• Salary dependent on experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
