Cover Supervisor - Flexible working!

We have an exciting opportunity to work flexibly around your availability and commitments, to support an Outstanding Secondary School based in Luton, to support their day to day cover needs and gain further experience in the classroom. 

Flexible, part-time working
Earn between GBP331.50 - GBP350 GBP per week
Able to commit between 2-5 days per week availability

We seek experienced Cover Supervisors or Graduates looking to gain further experience in the classroom, who are willing to take on the responsibility of a Cover Supervisor potentially across a variety of different schools. This opportunity works best with Educators who are enthusiastic and hardworking individuals, and are willing support in covering lessons across Year 7 to Year 11 across a range of subjects. 

Cover Supervisors are responsible for delivering pre-prepared work to classes of students in the absence of the class teacher, and are responsible for managing the learning and behaviour of the students in their care. Cover Supervisors also fulfil other supervisory and administrative duties, including providing in-class support.

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly around the school, will enjoy working with young people and have an adaptable and calm manner. An excellent sense of humour is essential along with effective organisation, communication and management skills.

The successful candidate will:

• be passionate and enthusiastic about young people's education

• have a very good level of literacy and numeracy

• have experience of working with and motivating young people

• be driven to learn and develop their own skills

• be very well organised and efficient • have high expectations of student’s behaviour and attainment

• be flexible

• be open to advice, feedback and guidance from colleagues

This is a unique opportunity to take on an important role in a forward thinking school and to work with committed and collaborative staff. There may be an opportunity for us to support and train an outstanding candidate, who has a 2:2 degree or better, to become a good teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
