Cover Supervisors – Full & Part Time Opportunities

Are you looking to gain classroom experience in secondary schools? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across mainstream secondary schools in Liverpool. We have full-time and part-time positions available, offering flexibility to suit your schedule.


About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support pupils with their learning and encourage engagement.
  • Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues.

  • Individuals with experience in youth work, sports coaching, or similar roles.
  • Anyone passionate about education and supporting young people.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Confidence to lead a class and engage students.
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
  • A child-only DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Availability for full or part-time work during school hours (Monday–Friday).
