Cover Supervisor – Great Yarmouth
Location: Norwich
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Flexible, Monday–Friday (term time only)
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Great Yarmouth. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants looking to step up, or anyone with strong classroom‑management skills seeking flexible and rewarding school-based work.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged. All work is pre‑set, so your focus is on managing behaviour, supporting learning, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes and deliver pre‑set work
- Ensure pupils stay on task and follow school routines
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Provide brief feedback to staff after each session
- Act as a professional and reliable presence across a range of subjects
Requirements
- Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential
- Confidence managing groups of young people (youth work, tutoring, coaching etc. all welcome)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Calm, positive, and adaptable under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting pupil learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
