Cover Supervisor – Exeter

Location: Exeter
Job Type: Full Time

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to work on a full-time basis within one of our partner secondary schools in the Exeter area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within education and gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role

  • Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Support students with their learning where appropriate.
  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Follow school policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident managing groups of students.
  • Reliable, organised and professional.
  • Able to remain calm and confident in challenging situations.
  • A genuine interest in working within education.
  • Teaching or classroom experience is advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
