Salary: NJC Grade 4, Points 5–6
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Term time only plus INSET days, 8:30am – 3:00pm (including lunch duties)
Teaching Personnel are working with a successful 11–16 coeducational school located in the Emsworth area, graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas by Ofsted. The school is seeking cover supervisors to join the team on a full-time basis from September 2026, on a temporary to permanent basis.
The Role
Cover Supervisors are key to the smooth running and effectiveness of the school. The role involves supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of a teacher, delivering pre-set work, and ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You will support students with their learning, maintain a positive classroom environment, and manage behaviour in line with school policies. The role also includes participation in tutor time and lunch duties, as well as subject lessons, allowing you to become a familiar, trusted and valued presence across the school. This is a varied and rewarding position at the heart of school life, and a full training and support programme will be provided for individuals looking to build experience in an educational setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
