Schools across Durham are looking for Cover Supervisors to start straight away. You’ll supervise lessons when teachers are absent, deliver the set work and keep students on task. It’s classroom-based and varied, and you leave the planning and marking to the teachers.

You choose your availability. Pick up a day here and there or work a full week, and take longer placements if you’d like something more settled. The Guaranteed Work Scheme is available if you want to know what you’ll earn before the week starts.

The role:

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
• Delivering work set by the class teacher
• Managing behaviour calmly and consistently
• Giving brief feedback to staff at the end of each lesson

Who we’re after:

• Graduates in any subject, or people with experience in schools or youth work
• Confident, adaptable and good with teenagers
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
