Cover Supervisor – Durham Secondary Schools
Competitive Daily Rates, Flexible, ASAP Start

Schools across Durham need Cover Supervisors now, and Teaching Personnel is actively recruiting to meet that demand. If you're looking for classroom-based work that fits around your life — with no lesson planning, no marking, and no long-term commitment required — this is a role worth considering.

Experienced Cover Supervisors are encouraged to apply, as are graduates who are keen to get into education and want a practical, hands-on starting point. Teaching Personnel works with a broad network of Durham secondary schools and can match you to settings that suit your experience and preferences.

What the role involves:

  • Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 and delivering pre-set work
  • Keeping students focused and maintaining a positive classroom environment
  • Following school procedures and feeding back to staff after each lesson
  • Building familiarity with schools and students over time

What we're looking for:

  • Prior experience in a Cover Supervisor or school support role — desirable
  • A degree in any discipline also considered
  • Confident, reliable, and professional in a classroom setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

What Teaching Personnel offers:

  • Competitive daily rates paid weekly via PAYE
  • Flexible working patterns to suit your availability
  • Guaranteed Work Scheme for financial stability
  • Free CPD and development opportunities
  • Dedicated consultant support

Contract: Flexible, Start: ASAP, Location: Durham secondary schools
