Job description

Are you confident, adaptable and passionate about supporting young people? Secondary schools across Brent are seeking reliable Cover Supervisors to join their teams immediately.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, experienced support staff or professionals looking to work in education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a focused learning environment
• Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding progress and behaviour
• Support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

You will not be required to plan lessons, but strong presence, communication skills and confidence leading a classroom are essential.

• Graduates or individuals with strong subject knowledge
• Previous experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching or youth work)
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Clear communication and professionalism

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
