Cover Supervisor – Bradford

Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people in education? We are currently seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools across Bradford on a supply basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, work flexibly, or continue their career within education.

✨ The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work.

Duties Include:

✅ Managing classroom behaviour effectively
✅ Delivering pre-planned work to students
✅ Supervising students in a calm and professional manner
✅ Supporting pupils with learning where required
✅ Ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment
✅ Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies
✅ Reporting back to teaching staff after lessons

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working within UK secondary schools is essential
✔ Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, or similar school-based role preferred
✔ Strong behaviour management skills
✔ Confident leading a classroom independently
✔ Excellent communication skills
✔ Reliable, punctual, and professional
✔ Good understanding of the UK education system and school expectations
✔ Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
