A dynamic and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team ASAP.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive secondary environment. Whether you are considering a future career in teaching or already have experience working with young people, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ day-to-day learning.

The Role:

  • Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.

  • Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain on task.

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and engagement.

  • Supporting students in maintaining a focused and productive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with secondary-aged students (education-based experience is desirable but not essential).

  • Be confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour effectively.

  • Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Be adaptable, resilient and able to think on their feet.

  • Be committed to supporting students’ academic and personal development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
