A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in the heart of Bournemouth is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will step into a pivotal role, helping to maintain continuity of learning during teacher absences by delivering pre-prepared lessons and managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising classes across a range of subjects during short-term teacher absence

Delivering set work to students and ensuring learning continues effectively

Managing student behaviour in line with the school’s expectations

Reporting back on student progress and classroom activity to teaching staff

Supporting pupils to remain engaged and focused throughout lessons

A confident and approachable individual with strong communication skills

Someone who is calm under pressure and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively

Prior experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable but not essential

A team player with a flexible and proactive attitude
