Cover Supervisor – Cardiff

 

 

Teaching Personnel are looking for a confident and proactive Cover Supervisor to fulfil the high demand for cover across Cardiff’s Secondary Schools.

 

 

As a Cover Supervisor, your role is to stand in and deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the main class teacher. No planning or marking is required, and all materials required for the lesson will be provided, and your job is to deliver the lesson content, manage the behaviour within the classroom and ensure that all students are safe, happy and on task.

 

** You are not required to have a teaching qualification for this role; however, any experience coaching, tutoring, or teaching would be a huge benefit **

 

Job Details:

-          Pay from £85 - £110 per day.

-          Work flexibly between 1 and 5 days/week

-          Control your own diary of availability; work as much or as little as you’d like to

-          Gain valuable classroom experience (beneficial when preparing for a PGCE or career in education)

-          Starting ASAP

 

Requirements:

-          Degree level education (or equivalent)

-          Enhanced Child Only DBS, or be willing to process one.

-          EWC Registration, or be willing to process one.

-          2 x References

-          Ability to speak Welsh (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
