Cover Supervisor (Part-Time)
Location: Dudley (DY8)
Job Type: Part-Time
Salary: £22,000 - £24,500 per annum
Are you looking for a rewarding role in education? We are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Dudley to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching, an experienced Cover Supervisor, or a graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will deliver pre-set work, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students remain engaged throughout the lesson.
Responsibilities
- Supervise classes across a range of subjects using lesson plans provided by teaching staff.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
- Ensure students remain focused and complete the work set.
- Support the overall learning environment and promote positive behaviour.
- Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members.
Requirements
- Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- Confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
