Job description

Are you passionate about helping students reach their full potential? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in Rochdale for a dedicated Tutor to support students in Maths, English and Science from November through to July.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, providing targeted intervention and academic support in the lead-up to mock exams and GCSEs.

The Role:

  • Full-time position from November until July.
  • Deliver small group and one-to-one intervention sessions in Maths, English and Science.
  • Support students with exam preparation, revision techniques and GCSE content.
  • Help boost student confidence, engagement and attainment ahead of mocks and final exams.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to identify learning gaps and tailor support to individual student needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students in a school or tutoring environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum in Maths, English and/or Science.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
  • A patient, encouraging and adaptable approach to learning
  • A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. Graduates with relevant experience, tutors, HLTAs and experienced Teaching Assistants are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
