ENGLISH TUTOR

HUCKNALL

Teaching Personnel are looking for a engaging and creative English Teacher to provide 1:1 tuition in Hucknall and surrounding areas. The majority of the pupils you will be supporting will be children in care or have special educational/behavioural needs.

You will play an important role in successfully reintegrating pupils back into school, closing gaps in their English knowledge as well as accelerating progress.

As pupils will not be in education, tuition will take during school hours and in the home environment.

About the role:

  • Plan, develop & provide individualised English programmes (potentially covering other subjects as well)
  • Deliver 1:1 tuition within the home or library environment
  • Support a range of ages and abilities (KS2-KS4)
  • Tailor your support to accelerate progress and build pupil resilience

What you need:

  • Hold a QTS/PGCE Certificate
  • Proven subject knowledge of the English Curriculum
  • Adaptability to change you style and approach to pupils’ needs
  • Endless enthusiasm & patience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
