Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for cover supervisors to work across multiple schools in Manchester.

For this role, you do not need to be a fully qualified teacher.

Throughout this role you will work on a flexible basis, you will be offered work up to five days a week, but you will be in control of your own availability and only work on your preferred days.

You will be paid between £80 and £100 per day.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • You will not have any responsibility for the delivery of lessons, you will be required to explain the pre-arranged tasks and manage the pupils’ behaviour throughout the duration of the lesson.
  • It is essential that you encourage the pupils to remain focussed on task to avoid any disruptive behaviour.
  • You must ensure that the tasks are completed by the pupils.

If you are interested in further developing your skills in behaviour management or how to be a cover supervisor, Teaching Personnel offers a CPD academy that will encourage your development.

To work through Teaching Personnel, you will be required to provide a minimum of two employment-based references that cover the last two years of your work history. You must also apply for a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check to ensure that you do not have convictions that would prevent you from working within a school. Once this check has been completed, you will be required to put this check onto the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
