Teacher of Computing (FE) – Leyland | September Start

Temporary-to-Permanent Opportunity | Via Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-established Further Education provision in Leyland to recruit a Teacher of Computing to start in September 2026. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable computing specialist looking to make a real impact in post-16 education.

The Role

You will be delivering engaging and industry-relevant computing lessons across FE courses, supporting learners to develop both technical knowledge and employability skills. The successful candidate will be confident teaching a range of computing topics, potentially including:

  • IT & Digital Skills
  • Programming (e.g. Python, Java or similar)
  • Cyber Security / Networking basics
  • Software Development or Systems

You will play an integral role in motivating students, tracking progress, and preparing learners for further study or careers within the digital sector.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a relevant degree or qualification in Computing/IT
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) desirable, but not essential
  • Experience teaching post-16 or FE learners is advantageous
  • Passionate about technology and delivering high-quality teaching
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Committed to supporting student progress and outcomes
