Teacher of Computer Science – Permanent Role
Location: Shropshire
Salary: MPS/UPS
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025
A secondary school in Shropshire is seeking a knowledgeable and forward-thinking Teacher of Computer Science to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of digital learning and contribute to a growing and ambitious department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable applicants. The school values creativity and innovation in the classroom and is committed to providing students with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS and have a subject specialism in Computer Science or ICT

Have experience delivering a high-quality Computer Science curriculum

Be committed to helping students build problem-solving and programming skills

Be proactive, reflective, and willing to contribute to departmental development

Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective teaching strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
