Computer Science Teacher wanted!

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Computer Science teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 in an Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary school in Northampton, Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be joining a welcoming school community where the teachers/leaders are ambitious for pupils, including those with SEND. Subject leaders think carefully about what they would like their pupils to learn.  Therefore, through the curriculum, assemblies, visits and discussions, pupils develop character and confidence. Their mission is to serve the whole school community to prepare all students for the next steps in life.  This is a school where the care of the individual is at its heart and students are provided with the opportunities to flourish and succeed.

This is a full time position and you will be require to plan, prepare and mark for all classes. The schools offers a supportive and welcoming department and team. They can offer a smooth transition in to the role and full support will be given. This is a full planning role, where planning and staff meetings will be required.

  • Salary: £130 - £190 per day
  • Start Date: January/February 2023
  • Contract: Full-time role

Responsibilities of a Computer Science Teacher

  • Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students' acquisition of basic and advanced computer skills.
  • Instructing in a manner that develops students' confidence in their abilities.
  • Observing and managing classroom dynamics.
  • Invigilating and grading projects, quizzes, and examinations.
  • Tracking and communicating students' advancement throughout the course and identifying their strengths and weaknesses
  • Downloading important software updates and maintaining hardware.
  • Attending parent-teacher and faculty conferences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
