Computer Science Teacher – Full Time (All Girls Secondary School, Liverpool)

An established all girls secondary school in the Liverpool area is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join its thriving department. The school is known for its calm, welcoming atmosphere and strong academic standards, reflected in its Good Ofsted rating. Pupils enjoy their lessons, behave exceptionally well, and are motivated by teachers’ expertise and high expectations.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher to deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for the subject.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Computer Science lessons at KS3 and KS4.
- Support students in achieving excellent outcomes, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and progress.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a focused, respectful, and positive learning environment.
- Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and departmental improvement.
- Regularly assess student work, providing constructive and supportive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold the school’s values and commitment to student success.
Person Specification
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 4.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and engage learners.
- Confident classroom management and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- A passion for empowering young women to achieve and thrive within STEM and Computer Science.
Desirable
- Experience working in an all-girls school.
- Familiarity with GCSE Computer Science specifications and assessment requirements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
