Working Days: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
Contract: Ongoing – Part Time
Setting: Mainstream Secondary School
Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher looking for a fulfilling part‑time role? A welcoming and well‑resourced mainstream secondary school in Bacup, Lancashire is seeking an enthusiastic educator to join their team from Monday 13th April 2026.
About the Role
We are looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will be joining a supportive department and working with students who are eager to develop key digital and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering high‑quality Computer Science lessons
- Creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress
- Collaborating with colleagues to support a positive school culture
- Maintaining high behaviour and safeguarding standards
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (KS3/4)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
