Cleaner - Specialist Education Setting

£12.85 per hour | Beaminster | September 2026 Start | Full-Time (30 Hours)

Make a Difference Behind the Scenes

A specialist education setting in Beaminster is seeking an experienced and dependable Cleaner to join its site team from September 2026.

This is much more than a cleaning role. You'll play an important part in creating a safe, welcoming and hygienic learning environment where children and young people with additional needs can thrive.

Every classroom, corridor and shared space contributes to pupils' wellbeing, making your work an essential part of the school's success.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, works to a consistently high standard and takes pride in maintaining an exceptional environment.

 

The Role

Working 30 hours per week, your shifts will be split across five morning shifts and five afternoon shifts, helping to ensure the school remains clean and presentable throughout the day.

  • Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the building.
  • Cleaning toilets, kitchens and staff facilities.
  • Vacuuming, mopping and dusting all designated areas.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely.
  • Replenishing cleaning supplies and consumables.
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Reporting maintenance issues where necessary.
  • Supporting the wider premises team to ensure the school remains a safe place for pupils, staff and visitors.

 

About You

  • Have previous professional cleaning experience.
  • Can work independently and manage their workload effectively.
  • Are reliable, organised and punctual.
  • Take pride in producing excellent standards of cleanliness.
  • Understand the importance of safeguarding within an educational environment.
  • Can build positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Are able to begin work in September 2026 with minimal supervision.

Previous experience working within a school, healthcare or specialist setting would be beneficial, although it is not essential.
