Job description

We're currently looking for a Classroom Support Assistant to join a friendly secondary school in Rochdale from September.

This is a full-time role, working alongside teachers to support students both in and out of the classroom. The role could involve supporting small groups, working one-to-one with students who need a bit of extra encouragement, helping to keep lessons on track and generally being another pair of hands in the classroom. Some students will need more support than others, so patience and a calm approach really do go a long way.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with young people.
  • Can build positive relationships and communicate well.
  • Is reliable, adaptable and happy to work as part of a team.
  • Can stay calm under pressure and use their own initiative.
  • Has experience working with children or young people (school experience is helpful but not essential).

What you'll get:

  • Full-time hours from September.
  • Competitive weekly pay.
  • Ongoing support throughout your placement.
  • The opportunity to secure a longer-term or permanent position.

Apply today or get in touch on 0161 242 1797 for a chat about the role.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
