Job Title: Class Teacher (Primary)
Location: NG3, Nottingham
Pay Rate: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier by agreement)
Working Hours: Full-time, term time only
About the Role
We are looking for a Class Teacher to join a primary school in the NG3 area of Nottingham. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a class within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on experience and school needs.
This role involves planning and delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress, and working closely with colleagues to support learning across the curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create a calm and structured classroom environment
- Assess, record and report on pupil progress
- Support pupils with a range of abilities and needs
- Work collaboratively with support staff and year group colleagues
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers
- Contribute to wider school life, including meetings and events
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in a primary setting (ECTs will be considered)
- Good understanding of the UK primary curriculum
- Ability to manage behaviour in a consistent and fair way
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A professional and flexible approach to teaching
