Business Studies Teacher

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to join secondary schools across Hastings and the surrounding areas of East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about business education and committed to preparing students for success in both academics and the world of work.

This role is suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are looking for long-term, permanent, or flexible teaching opportunities.

The Role:

• Teaching Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-Level)

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover business theory, enterprise, and financial literacy

• Supporting students to develop practical skills and an understanding of the business world

• Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress

• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

• Encouraging students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills

• Working collaboratively with the wider Humanities and Business department

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• A recognised degree in Business, Economics, or a related subject

• Strong subject knowledge of the secondary Business Studies curriculum and A-Level syllabus

• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

• Ability to motivate and inspire students to develop their business knowledge and skills

• A professional, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
