Role Overview

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment. Your contribution will help ensure the school remains a safe, respectful space where all pupils feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff to develop effective behaviour plans
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils requiring additional guidance
  • Monitor and assess behavioural progress against agreed targets
  • Deliver workshops on topics such as emotional regulation and conflict resolution
  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and communication at all times

Requirements

  • Experience in behaviour support, counselling or a related field (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience and the ability to engage with pupils from diverse backgrounds
  • A proactive and calm approach to problem-solving
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and interventions
  • A genuine commitment to the well-being and development of pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
