Role Overview
As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment. Your contribution will help ensure the school remains a safe, respectful space where all pupils feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff to develop effective behaviour plans
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils requiring additional guidance
- Monitor and assess behavioural progress against agreed targets
- Deliver workshops on topics such as emotional regulation and conflict resolution
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and communication at all times
Requirements
- Experience in behaviour support, counselling or a related field (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience and the ability to engage with pupils from diverse backgrounds
- A proactive and calm approach to problem-solving
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and interventions
- A genuine commitment to the well-being and development of pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
