Pay Rate: £110–£120 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Do you have experience in coaching, youth work, mentoring or tutoring — or are you aspiring to become a teacher?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Manager to join a welcoming secondary school in Pontypool, supporting pupils aged 11–16. Guided by the vision “Believe to Succeed”, the school is committed to helping students become confident, aspirational and resilient learners.
⭐ About the Role
As the Behaviour Support manager you will supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay engaged, focused, and on task.
Strong subject knowledge is an advantage—whether your strengths lie in maths, science, English or another subject, there will be opportunities to use them when covering lessons. You will also support general classroom cover across the school; all lessons are pre-planned for you, so your focus is on behaviour management, engagement and ensuring work is completed.
You will need to be:
- Confident, adaptable and proactive when supervising classes across KS3 & KS4
- Able to create a positive, focused learning environment
- Comfortable covering any classroom and subject when required
- Professional, reliable and committed to supporting pupils’ success
- Confident applying behaviour management and de-escalation strategies

✅ Requirements
- Experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work, mentoring etc.)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
- EWC registration (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be 18+
- Strong understanding of the school curriculum and core subjects
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
