Behaviour Support Assistant (SEMH)

Flexible roles across Stockport, Tameside & East Manchester

Teaching Personnel are recruiting compassionate and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a rewarding, varied role where your calm presence and commitment can make a real difference.

The role includes:

  • 1:1 and in‑class SEMH support
  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Working across SEMH schools, APs and specialist settings
  • Helping pupils build confidence and re‑engage with learning

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have experience with children or young people (schools, care, youth work, etc.)
  • Can commit Monday–Friday, 08:30–15:30
  • Are calm, patient, and proactive
  • Are confident (or willing to learn) supporting behaviour needs
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS or are willing to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
