Behaviour Mentor – Durham Secondary Schools
April 2026 start, full time, £95 to £100 per day.
Teaching Personnel is seeking committed and resilient Behaviour Mentors to provide targeted support to pupils presenting behavioural challenges in Durham secondary schools. This role involves working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to deliver structured interventions that promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering short term behaviour interventions to identified pupils
- Providing consistent 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting pupils in developing positive behaviour strategies
- Working collaboratively with SEN and pastoral teams
- Following whole school behaviour and safeguarding protocols
You need:
- Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs
- Confidence in delivering structured behavioural support
- Calm, patient and professional under pressure
- Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
