Behaviour Specialist Support Assistant - Graduate Opportunity - Surrey/South-West London

 

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist provision in Sutton to recruit fantastic Behaviour Specialists and EBD TA's to join their growing team. 

Working hours: Full-time and part-time positions are available 

- Temporary and permanent roles 

Location: Sutton, Surrey

Pay: Competitive pay rates (d.o.e.) paid weekly via PAYE

As a Behaviour Specialist Support Assistant, you will be expected to:

 

  • Work effectively in a team to support and guide students with behaviours and learning difficulties/disabilities in individual and group learning sessions
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students 
  • Demonstrate and implement the school values and behaviour policy
  • Support the teacher in daily learning tasks 
  • Develop a good understanding of the students' needs and help develop personalised timetables and learning plans 
  • Motivate and encourage the students to reach personal and academic targets 
  • Help students build confidence, resilience and positive behaviours

 

Successful applicants will:

  • Be a recent Psychology (or relevant) graduate
  • Have experience working with children/young people with behavioural difficulties 
  • Have a good understanding of mental health 
  • Be strongly motivated and passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and helping them achieve the best outcomes 
  • Be confident and personable - personality is top of the list for this school! Applicants with not much experience but drive and passion are welcomed!
