We are seeking a passionate Behaviour specialist to join our Primary School, we are dedicated to academic excellence and the holistic development, we are committed to providing resources and expertise to meet the diverse needs of all our students.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development, behaviour management strategies and experience of working with Primary school children. As a behaviour specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children, teachers and families in promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe and inclusive school environment for all.
Key responsibilities:
- Work effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents to assess student behaviour and develop individual behaviour plans.
- Communicate well with teachers to effectively deliver behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Identify behaviour patterns and areas of intervention through assessment and observation within the classroom.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to support students with behavioural challenges.
- Monitor and track students progress, adjusting interventions as required to ensure positive outcomes.
- Work closely with parents and carers to provide support and resources for managing behaviour out of school.
- Collaborate with outside agencies and professionals, such as school counsellors and mental health professionals to provide comprehensive support for students with behavioural needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student behaviour plans, progress repots and communication with stakeholders.
- Stay informed with current research and best practice in behaviour management and education to continuously improve practice for all students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in psychology, education, counselling or related field (Desirable)
- Previous experience of working with Primary School-aged children in a behaviour support role.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development and behaviour management theories and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with children, parents, teachers and other professionals.
- Demonstrate an ability to develop and implements individualised behvaiour plans and interventions.
- Understanding of special education laws and regulations related to behaviour management (e.g IEPs).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
