Pay Rate: £92.63 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

This opportunity offers a wide range of variety across classes and pupils aged between 3-19. No two days will look the same. SEN learning environments step outside the box of traditional learning and leads towards a holistic approach, offering different types of ‘classrooms’, sometimes hydrotherapy, pet therapy and 1-1 musical sessions (if you can play an instrument, let us know!). As well as many other types of learning for the students, you will absolutely discover that you will also be learning on an everyday basis.

This role involves supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs, additional learning needs, and offering general classroom support. You’ll work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop positive coping strategies.

While formal teaching qualifications or classroom experience are not required for this role, any proven experience supporting children or young people is highly valued and transferable for this role!

Who We’re Looking for?

• Resilient, patient and understanding attitude

• Proven experience supporting children or young people (desirable, but not essential)
• Experience working with individuals with additional learning needs (ALN) (desirable but not essential)
• Deliver consistent support during lessons and daily activities tailored to individual pupil needs
• The ability to implement strategies to manage and de-escalate behaviour effectively

Requirements:

To demonstrate your commitment to working in education, you must either hold or be prepared to apply for the following (we will help you with these steps!):

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Aged 18 or over

• An Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service
• Level 2 Safeguarding training (provided)
• At least two professional references covering 24 months employment
