Location: Bath
Hours: Full Time, Monday–Friday
Salary: £92.95 - £100.10 per day
About the Role
We’re looking for a caring, patient and motivated individual to join a specialist education team in Bath as Behaviour Guidance Practitioner.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional learning or behavioural needs. You don’t need formal qualifications - just relevant experience from transferable environments such as care, youth support, psychology or education graduates, sports coaching, etc.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Behaviour Guidance Practitioner, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
- Help implement personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies.
- Assist with emotional regulation, communication development, and social interaction.
- Use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches under the guidance of senior staff.
- Create a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support teams to deliver consistent care.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour for each learner.
What We’re Looking For
No formal experience or qualifications are required.
We are looking for individuals who have:
- Patience, empathy, resilience and a positive attitude
- Experience in care, youth support, psychology or education studies, sports coaching, or other people‑focused roles
- A genuine passion for supporting neurodiverse children and young people
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to stay calm in challenging situations
- Willingness to learn, develop and grow within the role
- Reliability and a proactive approach to teamwork

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
