Are you someone who can stay calm in challenging situations, build positive relationships, and help young people overcome barriers to learning? We are recruiting for a Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs in schools across Swansea.

Monday - Friday

• 8:30am - 3:30pm

£92.63 per day

More Than a Job

For some pupils, school can feel overwhelming.

As a Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor, you'll be the trusted adult who helps children feel safe, regulated and ready to learn. You'll provide encouragement, consistency and reassurance to pupils who may struggle with social, emotional or behavioural challenges.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference while gaining valuable experience within education, psychology, mental health and child development.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same, but your role could include:

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Building positive relationships based on trust and consistency
• Helping children manage emotions and develop self-regulation strategies
• Encouraging engagement with learning and classroom activities
• Working alongside teachers and ALNCOs to support individual pupil needs
• Providing a safe, calm and nurturing environment
• Celebrating achievements and boosting confidence
• Supporting pupils during transitions, playtimes and unstructured periods
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
