Bank Teaching Assistant | Norwich

The Role:

As a Bank Teaching Assistant, you'll be part of a flexible pool of support staff, providing cover when schools need additional help due to staff absence, increased pupil needs, or temporary vacancies. You'll have the opportunity to work across a range of primary, secondary, and specialist settings, supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities.

This role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, students, carers, youth workers, or anyone looking for flexible work while making a positive impact in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or within the classroom.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, and other additional learning needs where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
