Autism Support Worker – Scarborough
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £90 – £95.00 per day
Contract: Full-time/Part-time (flexible)

Teaching Personnel is looking for a caring and committed Autism Support Workerto support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in schools across Scarborough.
This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils who need additional help to access their learning. You’ll be supporting children both in the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism

Assist with the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans
-
Support class teachers and SENCOs in delivering inclusive education

Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
-
Help pupils build confidence, communication, and independence
What We’re Looking For:
-
Experience supporting children or young people with autism (education or care settings)
-
A calm, patient, and understanding approach
-
Good communication and teamwork skills
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
-
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Relevant qualifications such as a CACHE Level 2/3 or a background in psychology, youth work or SEN are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
