We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Autism Specialist Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated learning needs.

The Role

As an Autism Specialist LSA, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism.
• Support students with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Implement personalised strategies and interventions to help pupils access learning.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in school life.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience supporting children or young people with Autism.
• Understand the challenges and strengths associated with ASC.
• Are patient, empathetic and resilient.
• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
• Hold relevant SEND, care or education experience (desirable but not essential).
• Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
