ASC Support Assistants

Multiple roles available in a Specialist Provision based in Bridlington. These jobs are available on a full-time and part-time basis, for emergency cover, absences (short-term and long-term) as well as gaps in staffing. 

This Specialist Provision are looking for a reliable and energetic individuals provide support for pupils with additional needs including ASC. It is not essential that you have school experience to be successful! These opportunities may be good for individuals who have a keen interest in child development, disability, psychology, or nursing and is or has been studying something related.

  • Start date: April 2024
  • Competitive rate £85-95 per day
  • School experience is not required to be successful in these roles

The Provision caters for pupils aged 4-16 with MLD, ASC, SCLN, VI and HI. Within these roles, as a support assistant, you will be expected to create positive relationships with the pupils and encourage positive choices and behaviour. You will be expected to provide general support within the classes and work collaboratively with other LSAs and the class teachers. In addition, you will be required to support pupils throughout the school day, support pupils across the specialist provision and ncorporate the use of senses into learning.

Long-term roles available

  • Full-time positions (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm)
  • Required to commit to the school on a long-term basis
  • Interested in securing a permanent role

Short-term roles available

  • Part-time and/or full-time positions (Varied/ ad-hoc days - 8.30am-1.00pm/ 12.00pm- 3.30pm/ 8.30am-3.30pm)
  • Would be covering emergency/ scheduled absences

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
