Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

I am getting in touch to share an exciting opportunity at a warm and welcoming primary school in Everton, where an immediate start is available.

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to provide 1:1 support within a Year 6 class, working closely with two boys who each have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In this role, you will play a vital part in offering consistent emotional and behavioural support, building positive and trusting relationships, and working collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENDCo, and parents to ensure both pupils feel secure, understood, and able to progress.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of needs including emotional regulation, communication differences, and access to learning. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach is essential, as well as the ability to implement personalised strategies and maintain a consistent routine.

Essential Requirements:
• A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare or teaching assistant qualification
• Strong and recent experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder
• The ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively as part of a supportive team
• A positive, reliable, and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
