Art Teacher Torfaen Secondary School

January Start - Full Time 

A large client secondary school have asked us to help find an Art Teacher due to a last minute emergency. The role is to start the second week back in January after a week of distant learning. This is a full time role split 70% timetable of Art and 30% general cover. With the current pandemic the school are keen to appoint someone who is comfortable managing classrooms when they aren't teaching their subject. This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly qualified Art teacher looking for their footstep in education or a fully qualified teacher looking for a change. 

The ideal Art Teacher:

  • Comfortable teaching Art to key stage 4
  • Must have experience delivering Art to secondary aged pupils 
  • PGCE or FE trained 
  • Available full time 

You will be joining a large secondary school based in Torfaen with over 1000 pupils on role. The leadership team are very involved in the day to day running of the school and are a great support for any new teacher to the school. The Art department have achieved excellent results this previous year. The head of department is very keen to continue this trend so having a good previous track record is essential!
