Art & Design Teacher

Location: Dunstable, Luton
Daily Rate: £140–£220
Start: After February Half Term

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Art and Design Teacher to join a successful and supportive department at a secondary school in Dunstable, Luton.

The department provides an excellent curriculum provision and consistently achieves strong results at both Key Stage 3 & 4. An ambitious and innovative teacher will thrive in this environment and will be offered plentiful opportunities for professional development and career progression.

As a qualified Art & Design Teacher, you will have a passion for raising achievement in Art & Design and a proven aptitude for overcoming barriers to learning. Dynamic and creative in your approach, you will be a team player with the ability to inspire students and colleagues alike.

This Secondary school is a non-selective, co-educational secondary school and sixth form in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, catering to students aged 11–19. Part of the Anthem Schools Trust, it focuses on core values of Care, Aspiration, Resilience, and Endeavour. It offers comprehensive support for university and apprenticeship pathways, with around 1,150 students. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience teaching Art & Design and DT in UK secondary schools (KS3–KS4)

  • QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire creativity and confidence

  • A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning

  • A DBS registered on the Update Service

  • Availability to start after February half term

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
