We are recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a Primary School located in the NP12 area. This role begins in April 2026 and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on children’s learning and wellbeing.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with ALN
• Assist with individual learning programmes created by the class teacher and ALNCo
• Support children with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties and general learning delays
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in classroom activities
• Work closely with teachers, support staff and external agencies
• Help maintain an inclusive and safe learning environment

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working with children, ideally in a school environment
• Understanding of ALN or a willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• A patient, supportive and proactive approach
• Ability to work well as part of a team
