The Role

As an ALN Practitioner, you'll work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to help pupils access learning and thrive in school.

You may support children with:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
⚡ ADHD
️ Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
❤️ Emotional regulation and behavioural needs
Anxiety, confidence and social interaction difficulties

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

No two days are ever the same!

You could be:

✅ Supporting a pupil 1:1 in the classroom
✅ Delivering targeted intervention sessions
✅ Helping children regulate emotions and build confidence
✅ Encouraging engagement with learning activities
✅ Supporting pupils during break and lunch times
✅ Assisting with literacy, numeracy and creative tasks
✅ Using positive behaviour strategies to help children succeed
✅ Celebrating every achievement, no matter how big or small

You'll become a trusted adult for pupils who often need consistency, encouragement and someone who believes in them.
