SEN Specialist School | South Yorkshire Full-Time | Term Time + Additional Weeks Competitive Salary (Dependent on Experience)

Are you an organised and proactive administrator with experience in finance? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs?

We are currently recruiting for an Admin & Finance Officer to join a welcoming and supportive SEN Specialist School. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to play a key role in both the day-to-day running of the school office and financial administration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, visitors, and general enquiries professionally.
  • Maintain accurate pupil, staffing, and school records in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments.
  • Support budget monitoring and financial reporting procedures.
  • Reconcile financial transactions and maintain financial records.
  • Assist with payroll administration and staff absence recording.
  • Coordinate school communications, meetings, and diary management.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Support admissions, attendance monitoring, and other school office functions as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Finance experience including invoicing, budgets, purchase orders, or bookkeeping.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
  • A professional, approachable, and confidential manner.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
