Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants Needed – High SEN Need – Hartlepool
A supportive and inclusive school in Hartlepool is looking to appoint two dedicated Teaching Assistants (Level 2 or Level 3) to provide general classroom support within a class that has a high level of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Positions: 2 × Teaching Assistants (Level 2 or Level 3)
Job Type: Full-time, ongoing
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualification
About the Role

Providing general TA support within a class with high SEN needs

Assisting the class teacher with learning activities, routines, and behaviour support

Helping children with a range of additional needs, including communication, social, emotional, and learning difficulties

Implementing strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals

Supporting whole-class learning, small groups, and individual pupils as needed

Contributing to a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
-
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience supporting children with SEN (high needs preferred but not essential)

Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, patient approach

Ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff team

A positive, flexible attitude and a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
