Job description

Support Young Learners to Thrive – SEN Tutor Opportunities in Poole

TP Tutors is looking for compassionate and reliable SEN Tutors in Poole to provide tailored educational support for children and young people with additional learning needs. Through personalised tuition, you will help learners build confidence, re-engage with education, and make meaningful progress.

Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Poole and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible full-time and part-time positions available

About the Position

This role involves delivering one-to-one tuition sessions in alternative learning environments. You will support students who may require additional guidance due to Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, or other learning barriers.

Duties Include

  • Planning and delivering engaging tailored lessons
  • Supporting individual learning and emotional needs
  • Modifying teaching methods to suit different abilities and learning styles
  • Encouraging student confidence and participation
  • Working closely with families and education professionals where appropriate
  • Monitoring progress and adapting support plans
  • Promoting a positive and safe learning experience

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience with children or young people is preferred
  • Suitable for individuals from teaching, tutoring, care, mentoring, or youth support backgrounds
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathetic, flexible, and organised approach
  • Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities
  • Willingness to travel within Poole and nearby areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
