Location: Liverpool
Job Type: Part-time / School Hours - Weekdays

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutor to provide personalised educational support to children and young people in Liverpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping learners build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their academic goals.
Tutoring may take place in students' homes, schools, community settings, or other agreed locations, depending on individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, tailored 1:1 tuition sessions.
- Assess learners' abilities and develop personalised learning plans.
- Support students in achieving academic and personal targets.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and needs.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals where appropriate.
- Create a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment.
- Safeguard the welfare of all children and young people.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum in one or more subject areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant teaching, tutoring, or educational experience.
Desirable
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Experience working with children who have experienced barriers to education, including anxiety, school avoidance, or additional learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
