Help Learners Build Confidence and Achieve More
TP Tutors is looking for dedicated SEN Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition to primary and secondary learners across East Grinstead and the surrounding areas.
You’ll support both SEN/SEND and mainstream students, helping learners develop their academic skills, confidence and independence through tailored teaching.
Students may require support with Maths, English and other subjects, as well as additional support relating to autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND needs.
Role Details
Location: East Grinstead and surrounding areas
Students: Primary and secondary SEN/SEND and mainstream learners
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community settings or learners’ homes

Your Impact
You’ll play an important role in helping learners overcome barriers and make progress. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering personalised one-to-one tuition
- Adapting lessons to suit individual abilities and needs
- Supporting primary and secondary students
- Working with SEN/SEND and mainstream learners
- Developing subject knowledge, confidence and independence
- Monitoring and recording progress
- Building strong relationships with learners, families and schools
- Working collaboratively with other professionals where appropriate
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people
- Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education experience
- Experience supporting SEN/SEND and/or mainstream learners
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- Ability to support primary and/or secondary students
- Ability to travel across East Grinstead and surrounding areas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
